Alarm was received about a traffic accident on National Road 56 just north of Hedesunda. The police were dispatched to the scene where a wild animal accident had occurred. A driver had driven into an elk, and then another driver had driven into the same elk which had ended up on the road.

There are no reports that anyone was in need of hospital care. There is also no suspicion of a crime in connection with the incident.

Wildlife caretakers were called in to take care of the elk, which died in connection with the accident.
