Reports came in about a burglary in progress at a residence near Gävle harbour. The police rushed to the scene with several resources, including a helicopter, to search for the perpetrators. These are said to have smashed a window at the scene in connection with the crime.

During the initial search, no suspects were found. A report of theft through burglary was filed.
