03.22: Calls are received about screams from a park in central Örebro. A woman is subjected to a rape on the site, whereupon the crime scene is cordoned off.

A 40-year-old perpetrator may be arrested suspected of having committed the rape.

The crime scene is being guarded and will be investigated by the police's technicians. An investigation has been initiated and the victim is being taken care of according to a special routine. The perpetrator will be interrogated and charged with suspicion, after which, together with the information that has been gathered, a prosecutor will be presented and a decision will be made regarding potential further detention and, if so, in the form of detention.

Update:
The suspected man is being interrogated in the morning according to RB 24:8§ and has been charged with suspicion. Based on the information gathered so far, the prosecutor has chosen to detain the man as suspected of rape.

The police's investigation is ongoing with full force. Interrogations have been conducted, camera surveillance is being analyzed, and the investigation conducted by the police's technicians at the crime scene has been completed and compiled.

Specific locations are Stortorget and down towards Oskarsparken in Örebro. The time interval from which observations are desired is between 02.20 and 03.40.
