Three people have been taken into custody for intoxication and one person has been taken in for testing on suspicion of a drug offence.

Police have also carried out several checks of people and vehicles that have not resulted in any suspicion of a crime.

23:50 Traffic accident, Skellefteå
Police went to Sörböle following a report of a traffic accident involving two cars. It was a rear-end collision. One driver was issued a summary fine because they had not kept a sufficient distance from the vehicle in front.

00:50 Traffic accident, Umeå
Police went to Storgatan/Tegsbron following reports of a single-vehicle accident in which a car had driven into a lamppost. There were no reports of personal injuries. The accident caused the traffic lights on Västra Esplanaden to stop working, so the municipality was contacted. Interviews were conducted and a report of careless driving will be filed.

00:54 Traffic offence, Åsele
In Åsele, a summary fine was issued because an A-tractor was carrying an unauthorised number of passengers.

01:03 Drunk driving, Umeå
Police went to Marknadsgatan in Umeå following reports of an accident in which a car had reversed into another vehicle. During a check, suspicion arose that the driver of the car that had reversed, a man in his 20s, was under the influence of alcohol. As the driver did not have a driving licence, suspicion also arose of aggravated unlawful driving. A sample was taken, an interview was conducted, and reports of drunk driving and aggravated unlawful driving were filed.

03:04 Drunk driving, Skellefteå
Police stopped and checked a vehicle in Norrböle in Skellefteå. The driver, a man in his 30s, tested positive on the police screening device, and further testing was carried out. A report of drunk driving was filed.
