The police receive information about a suspected serious violent crime that is supposed to have occurred in a residence in Västerås.

When the police arrive at the relevant residence, a man in his 40s is found to have been beaten. The man is taken to hospital by ambulance with unclear but serious injuries. He was conscious when the ambulance left.

The police are investigating the incident as serious assault and at present, no one is being detained.
