The new law on independent confiscation came into effect today, and already several seizures of property have been made in the West Police Region. The latest in the series occurred this evening in Greater Gothenburg, where two personal vehicles have been seized in accordance with this legislation.

The assessments made in each case were that the vehicles were considered to have a significant value in relation to the owners' incomes. Now a review remains, where it will be determined whether the vehicles should be declared confiscated or not.
