A number of police units, including dog handlers, have been searching for two elderly people who got lost in the woods outside Katrineholm in the afternoon.

At 19:50, police patrols were able to locate the people in good spirits. The search operation lasted for several hours with resources of different competence. The search was carried out both by vehicle and on foot, as well as through close telephone contact with the affected to be able to ring in their position with the help of sound signals.

During the rescue work, a drone pilot assisted by flying and lighting up the terrain.

The people found are in good condition under the circumstances.
