Patrols are heading to Gåsborn due to a fully developed fire. The patrols will assist the rescue service in their work.

Some of the police's tasks on the scene:

• Securing the area around the fire site in case of suspected crime and to prevent outsiders from approaching the area and being exposed to unnecessary danger.
• Directing any traffic that may be affected to prevent anyone working or present on the site from being injured and to prevent accidents from occurring.
• Investigating whether a crime is behind the fire.
• Documenting what has happened.

Update 07.42: Smoke diving and extinguishing are ongoing at the scene. The police will secure the area as soon as possible. 

Update 08.59: A preliminary investigation into arson has been initiated in accordance with routine, as the circumstances surrounding the fire are unclear at present. The area has been secured pending a technical investigation. This will be carried out once the fire is extinguished and the working environment is deemed safe. The damage is expected to be total to the property.
