A person who claims to come from a security company to change a lock calls a woman.
In connection with this, the woman receives a text message with the instruction to call a number. The woman calls the number - a person answers and says that she has been exposed to a scam and transfers the call to what she says is "the police".
The next person, who claims to be a police officer, instructs the woman to gather all her jewelry and valuable items. What they claim is "a plainclothes police officer" is supposed to come and collect her valuables.
None of the people who have contacted the woman are real police officers, but the woman has been exposed to a scam.
The police go to the woman for questioning and to file a report labeled as a scam.
