Under Sunday evening, November 2, a complainant together with relatives came to the police in Ludvika and reported that the complainant had been exposed to extortion.

The complainant, a boy in his older teenage years, has received verbal threats against him and in connection with this has seen something that he has perceived as a weapon-like object.

No person was injured in connection with this incident and there is no suspect.

The police are investigating the incident as an attempt at severe extortion and severe weapons crime.

It is very early in the investigation, which is why we at present cannot comment on the incident further.
