Police alarm sounded at the market square in Linköping due to an assault. A man is alleged to have assaulted a woman. Passersby then intervened and held the man fast, so that the woman could leave the scene. 
Patrol arrives at the scene and the man, in his 30s, is apprehended on suspicion of aggravated assault. 
The man and the woman have known each other since earlier.
