19:59 In connection with a traffic control, a driver chose not to stop at the police officer's signal. A pursuit was initiated at the height of Burseryd. There was low traffic intensity and speeds of 110 km/h. 

20:12 The journey continued upwards past Karshult and a decision was made to use a spike mat. 

20:23 On regional road 26 in Gislaved, the car stopped after having driven on the spike mat. The driver then chose to run, resulting in a threatening situation. 

20:29 The police patrol used a warning shot to gain control of the threatening situation. The man, in his mid-20s, is arrested and suspected of gross threats against a public official, gross breach of the knife law, and reckless driving. The arrested man was first treated by the police patrol and has since been taken to hospital by ambulance. Questions about the injury situation are referred to the healthcare system. 

When the police use a warning shot (fire a shot at a person), an investigation is always initiated. This is investigated by the Department for Special Investigations (SU).
