At lunchtime, at 11:46, the police were alerted regarding a threatening man in Umeå city center, between Utopia and Åhléns. The man is said to have been threatening a woman and wanted to get to her personal belongings. He is said to have shown a weapon.

A short time later, the police can arrest a man suspected of the offense, which is currently classified as attempted serious robbery and serious unlawful threat. The suspect is in his mid-30s.

In connection with the incident, the man is said to have confronted another woman in the city center, the police are seeking contact with her or other people who may have been confronted by him and/or who saw the incident. Call the police on 114 14 to provide information.
