Larm arrives at the police regarding a person, a 60-year-old man, who has been shot in the leg in the Bäckby area of Västerås.

Most resources are ordered to the scene, including a dog patrol and helicopter.

A person is found at the crime scene with a gunshot wound in the leg and is taken away by ambulance for further care. The man was then awake and able to speak, unclear injury extent.

A cordon is set up at the crime scene. This is deemed to be an isolated incident and there is currently no danger to the public.

Criminal classification is currently gross weapons offense and severe assault.
