Police, rescue service, and ambulance care were called to E22 just south of Ålem due to an accident involving a salt-laden truck. The driver of the truck was found under the truck and E22 was closed in both directions during the time the work was ongoing at the scene.

The driver, a man in his 45-year-old age, has died. Next of kin have been informed.

The police are investigating the incident as a workplace accident and have filed a report on a work environment offense.
