A number of private individuals have received phone calls and SMS messages with threatening messages from an unknown person or persons. So far, individuals in Kiruna municipality and Umeå municipality have been contacted. The different messages have come from the same phone number, currently unclear who it belongs to.

The police are working on the cases. Reports regarding illegal threats and attempts at blackmail are being filed.

If more people receive these threatening phone calls and SMS messages, they are urged to call and report it to the police at phone number 11414.
