Police regional command center has handled around 60 cases related to Östergötland County between 22:00 and 07:00.

At 23:20, the police receive a call about a suspected ongoing theft of a motorcycle on Linköpingsvägen in Norrköping. According to the complainant, two people dragged the motorcycle to a thicket in the area.

When the police arrive at the scene, they find the two individuals. One of them can be caught immediately, the other tries to run but is caught with the help of a dog patrol. The patrol also finds the relevant motorcycle at the scene.

The police classify the incident as theft of means of transportation and the two individuals, both men in their mid-20s, are suspected.

At 23:21, the police are alerted to the intersection of Hjalmar Brantings gata and Kolonigatan in Norrköping due to a fire in a vehicle. According to the fire department, the fire risks spreading to several vehicles. The police suspect that the fire was set and a report is filed regarding arson through fire damage.

At 01:16, the police receive a call about a woman who is screaming loudly in the area around Ågatan in Linköping. At the scene, the police find a drunk woman who is taken into custody according to the Law on the Temporary Custody of Intoxicated Persons. When the woman, who is also 25 years old, is checked, the police also find a syringe, which is seized. The police file a report for an offense against the Knife Act.

At 06:17, residents on Valhallagatan call the police because a loud bang is heard. Windows are reported to be broken at a hair salon and smoke is also coming from the building. At the scene, the police find a number of smaller firecrackers that appear to have been thrown into the salon. A report is filed for vandalism. No one is reported to have been injured.
