Police receive several calls about an incident at a school in Viksäng, Västerås, where a student at the school is alleged to have applied a chokehold on another student, causing the latter to lose consciousness.

The injured student, a minor boy, was transported to hospital by ambulance. He was conscious when he was loaded into the ambulance.

The suspected student, also a minor boy, is said to have left the school after the incident but was later found by a police patrol. After speaking with the student, the police suspect that the incident may be linked to a challenge in social media.

The police are filing a report on serious assault. Due to the young age of the suspected person, the case is being handed over to social services.
