A driver is reported to have attempted a passing maneuver but then driven into the median on the stretch in a northerly direction.

The driver is said to have sustained a minor facial injury but is awake and otherwise communicable. He will follow with an ambulance for inspection.

There is a lot of traffic passing the location and a patrol is on site to direct traffic, partly to investigate the accident.

Drivers are urged to be cautious when passing the accident site.
