Intoxication, Avesta

00.45. A patrol stops and checks a driver on Highway 70 at Brovallen in Avesta. The driver, a man in his 40s, shows signs of being impaired by drugs, whereupon a decision is made to conduct a body search. The man was required to accompany the patrol for further blood tests. The suspicion concerns drug intoxication at present.

The Police Authority has also handled five wildlife accidents, 16 person and vehicle checks without incident, and handled incoming calls that have not resulted in any report or action. No more serious crimes have come to the police's knowledge.
