Phone calls come in to the police from a person whose car has just been stolen in the vicinity of the bus station in central Västerås.

The car is alerted to all police cars in Västerås, and in connection with this, phone calls come in from the public who have seen a car with an unusual driving style and a description that matches the just stolen car, this at an inner courtyard on Mimergatan.

Since the car was equipped with tracking equipment, the car owner could follow its route and it is later found by a patrol, abandoned, at Slottsstigen near the railway. No person is then present at the relevant car.

The car is returned to its rightful owner and the patrol makes a report regarding the seizure of a vehicle. At present, there is no suspect in the matter.
