A man is suspected of an offence against a woman
At lunchtime, the police received a call that a serious violent crime had taken place in a home in a community in Ludvika Municipality.
When the police arrived at the scene, a man in his 60s was taken into custody on suspicion of a crime.
The victim is a woman in her 60s, and the two people are in a relationship. The woman's life could not be saved and she is deceased. Her relatives have been informed.
The crime took place indoors in a home, which has been cordoned off so that a crime scene investigation can be carried out.
The police will question the suspected man, after which a prosecutor will decide whether he should remain in custody.
