Police are investigating two serious violent crimes, one of which occurred in Rönnby and one in Skultuna. The perpetrator is being sought in Skultuna and the police have decided to issue a VMA while work is ongoing to apprehend this person.

Police are urging the public to stay indoors and keep to themselves and be vigilant about people who exhibit unusual behavior. It is not believed to be a terrorist attack.

Update, 11:39 am:

A perpetrator has been arrested following the incident, and the VMA that was issued has been recalled. The case is being investigated as murder and attempted murder. Relatives of the woman who died have been notified.

The attempted murder occurred in Rönnby, while the murder occurred in Skultuna.

The perpetrator and the victim have had a relationship with each other since before.

It is no longer believed to pose a threat to the public.
