The police are on the scene and have spoken with witnesses and cordoned off the crime scene for technical examination. A number of people have been checked in connection with the operation.

A dog patrol is also working in the area to secure tracks.

An investigation into aggravated public destruction and gross breach of the Explosives and Flammable Substances Act is underway. 

Door-to-door questioning will begin to gather witness statements.

A suspect has been detained the previous day. As the suspect is under 15 years old, it has been handled by social services.

The investigation work in the matter continues to find out more about the motives and so on.
