Double burglary in Eskilstuna during the night
03:36 police were alerted to an ongoing burglary at a warehouse in Kjula outside Eskilstuna city. The alarm was received after several unauthorized persons were caught on a surveillance camera. In connection with the response to the alarm, information was received that someone had left ski poles on the E20 exit near the crime scene. The road was closed for a short time until the poles were cleared from the road. At the scene, it was found that a door had been broken, but there were no people left on the premises. After an initial inspection of the object, a report was written regarding serious theft. What may have been taken is not yet clear. A report will also be written regarding blue light sabotage due to the ski poles thrown onto the road. There are no suspected persons in the case.
At 03:59, another alarm was received regarding a burglary, this time at a store in Tuna Park. Someone had backed a car into the wall of the building, but there were no people left on the premises. A police patrol arrived at the scene to search the building. Several things were found to be damaged and goods were believed to have been stolen. The exact extent or estimated value is not yet clear. A report will also be written regarding serious theft. The car found at the scene was seized for technical examination.
In addition to this, the police have handled cases related to wildlife accidents and made routine checks on their own initiative or in response to public alarm.
