May 19, 07.44, Summary of the night, Jämtland County

Here follow a selection of the night's events:

23.52 Wild animal accident, Krokom:
Police receive a report of an accident involving a small truck and an elk calf on Långanvägen, Långan. No personal injuries are reported. The elk calf was injured in connection with the accident and a tracker is called out.

01.09 Assault, Östersund:
Police patrol is ordered to Söder where a man is alleged to have assaulted another man. A report of minor assault is drawn up and the suspected man is apprehended in accordance with the Law on the Deprivation of Liberty, LOB.

03.01 Drunk driving, Östersund:
At a stop and check of a car in Brunflo the driver blows positively in the police's screening device and is taken along for blood sampling. At further blood sampling the driver blows under the punishable limit. The driver however lacks the entitlement to drive a car and in the car suspected stolen copper is also found and seized. A report is drawn up regarding gross unauthorized driving and theft.

Police have also carried out a number of checks on people and vehicles that have not resulted in any suspicion of crime.
