Police sirens sound in central Finspång where two people are to assault a third person, outdoors.

Police and ambulance head to the scene. A 45-year-old woman has stick injuries and is taken to hospital. Her condition is later found to be stable.

In connection with the scene, two 50-year-old women are apprehended, initially suspected of grievous assault or attempted murder.

The crime scene is cordoned off and the police are now working to interview witnesses to the incident and secure evidence from the scene.
