Police receive calls about a suspected intoxicated man allegedly trying to enter a door belonging to a multi-family house on Valbogatan in Gävle.  Shortly after, a fire breaks out in an apartment in the relevant apartment building.

When the police arrived at the scene, they found a man matching the description.  The man, who is in his 30s, was arrested on suspicion of arson. 

After a decision by the prosecutor, the man is now being held in custody.
