March 28 08.17, Summary of the night, Västerbotten County

Seven people have been taken into custody for intoxication and two people have been taken in for testing after suspicion of narcotics crime. The police have also carried out several checks on people and vehicles that have not resulted in any suspicion of crime.

Here follows a selection of the night's events:

22:36 Liquor Act, Umeå
A patrol stopped and checked a tractor on Ersboda in Umeå. People under 18 years old were traveling in the vehicle. During the check, a bottle of spirits was found. Witness testimony is being held and the alcohol is being seized. A report of a crime against the Liquor Act is being prepared. It is initially unknown who sold or handed over the alcohol to the minor, who is a witness in the case. There is therefore no known suspect initially.

23:08 Traffic offense, Umeå
A fine (penalty) is issued to a driver on Vännäsvägen near Rödäng, Umeå. The reason is incorrect lighting in front of the vehicle.

A fine is issued to a driver on Tegsvägen in Umeå due to disturbing behavior by playing loud music in a public place.

A report is made due to disturbing behavior by playing loud music in a public place, as a driver on Västra Rådhusgatan in central Umeå refuses a fine.

01:14 Assault, Umeå
Police go to Mariehem due to reports of some kind of disturbance outside a bus stop. A man in his 20s is arrested suspected of assaulting another man. There are no reports of anyone needing to visit the emergency room. The arrested man is to be questioned after sobering up.

01:27 Drunk driving, Umeå
Police check a driver in the west of the city in Umeå. Suspicion arises that the driver is under the influence of narcotics. A blood test is performed and the result will show if a crime has been committed. A report is to be made of suspected drunk driving and minor narcotics crime, personal use.

01:57 Assault, Skellefteå
Reports are received that a man has been assaulted outside in central Skellefteå. The man is taken to the hospital, but according to reports, he has left the hospital during the night. Police go out and work on the case. Two men in their 20s are arrested. Testimony is being held and the prosecutor is contacted. The prosecutor decides to detain the arrested. They are suspected of aggravated assault.

03:21 Attempted robbery, Umeå
Reports are received of a disturbance outside on Ålidhem in Umeå. Police go there and find two men in their 20s who have injuries. One of them is given a ride to the hospital for examination. The case is initially handled as an attempted robbery. There is no known suspect in the case.
