A person has been taken into custody for intoxication and one person has been taken in for testing following suspicion of narcotics crime. The police have also carried out several checks on people and vehicles that have not resulted in any suspicion of crime.

23:09 Gross assault, Östersund
Reports of a traffic accident in Östra Odensala, Östersund, are received. Initial reports indicate that it involves a hit-and-run incident. The driver is said to have left the scene. There are no reports of anyone needing to visit the emergency department. The person who was hit is said to have been awake, able to speak and on their feet. The police are sent out and are working on the case. A man in his mid-30s is found and arrested. An interrogation is held and the prosecutor is contacted. The prosecutor has decided to detain the man who is initially suspected of gross assault and hit-and-run.

23:38 Assault, Östersund
Reports are received that a man has been assaulted outdoors in Östersund. No suspect is left at the scene. The police are sent out and are working on the case. The man is taken to the hospital by ambulance for examination.

02:51 Assault, Östersund
The police are contacted regarding a disturbance at a restaurant in central Östersund. The police are sent there and talk to the people involved. A report and counter-report are taken regarding assault. The men involved are in their 30s and 50s. There are no reports of either of them needing to visit the emergency department.

Two wildlife accidents have been reported to the police during the night and morning. There are no reports of personal injuries.
