An 95-year-old woman on Lidingö has been contacted by someone who claimed to be from the police. The person is supposed to have mentioned a burglary in an apartment and asked if the woman had heard any sounds or anything else. A report of attempted or preparation for fraud will be written.

So you can protect yourself

If you are unexpectedly contacted by phone, SMS, or email, stop, do not act, hang up. Then ask someone you trust - a neighbor, a friend, a family member for advice.

Do not identify yourself with bank-ID or give out your codes when someone else contacts you.

Do not let an unknown person into your home. Serious companies, organizations, and authorities will never come to your home to collect your cash, jewelry, or other valuables.

Do not be afraid to appear suspicious or unpleasant, dare to end the conversation.
