
The investigation into the murder in Örebro is being continued intensively.
Under late Saturday evening, shortly before 23:30, several calls came to the police about loud explosions at an address in the western districts of Örebro.
Early on, it was established that the incident involved a shooting with one person injured. The man was taken to hospital and later confirmed dead. He was in his 20s. Relatives have been notified.
The location where the crime was committed was quickly cordoned off, and the police's technicians conducted an investigation during the night, after which the cordons were lifted on Sunday morning. At the scene, evidence has been secured, which will be analyzed further.
A range of investigative measures have been taken in the case, including searches with a dog unit, door-to-door visits with interviews and the collection of CCTV footage near the crime scene.
During the night and Sunday morning, a large amount of collected material was analyzed, which is still ongoing. In the material and where the investigation is currently, the police see no further gang/network connection to the deceased man.
The investigation is still led by the Police Authority. No one is being detained. Compulsory measures such as bringing someone to an interview have been taken.
The police will continue to have an increased presence in the western districts of Örebro for the purpose of creating a sense of security, where you can talk to the police and get answers to any questions or leave tips.
