Police regional command center has handled around 60 cases related to Södermanland County during the night between 22:00 and 07:00.

Assault, Eskilstuna: At 03:00, the police were alerted to a multi-family house in Eskilstuna due to a fight in an apartment. Two people were found in the apartment, one of whom is a 55-year-old man. The man was apprehended with handcuffs for his own and others' safety, and was arrested on suspicion of assaulting the other person in the apartment. The other person is awake and able to speak, but bleeding, and was taken to the hospital by ambulance. The apartment has been sealed off for technical investigation.

Drunk driving, Strängnäs: At 23:00, the police were alerted to central Mariefred due to a suspected drunk driver. At the scene, a car had driven into a tree and then attempted to drive away but drove into the tree again. The police arrived at the scene and stopped the car in question. The driver is intoxicated and will be taken to the police station according to the Law on the Taking of Intoxicated Persons. The driver is a 60-year-old man. He is now suspected of drunk driving.

The police have, in addition to this, carried out various routine checks on their own initiative or following reports from the public.
