March 20, 23.15, Unlawful deprivation of liberty/human trafficking, Trelleborg

Three men are being held in custody suspected of unlawful deprivation of liberty, aggravated theft and impersonation of a public official.

The men are suspected of having contacted a truck driver who had parked his truck in Trelleborg for a night's rest. The men are said to have pretended to be police officers, shown some kind of identification and forced the man to follow them for a test. The truck driver is then said to have been driven to a location outside Trelleborg and left there. His truck, loaded with sports articles of high value, was seized.

During the night, the three suspected men were apprehended. They are now being held in custody and the case is being led by a prosecutor. The truck with the accompanying goods has been found.

The truck driver has not been physically injured in connection with the incident.
