Larm came in about grass fires at traffic junction Gävle Södra. Rescue services and police rushed to the scene and the fires were extinguished. In connection with the alarm, information emerged that a man had set the fires, and police on the scene found a man who matched the current description.

The man was arrested on suspicion of arson.

There are no reports of personal injuries in connection with the incident. A fast-food restaurant on the scene was forced to close and evacuate due to the smoke development.
