A man is being held in custody suspected of several crimes after an incident on Saturday evening.
Police alarm is sent to an address in Orsa due to a suspected brawl in a dwelling shortly before 22:00 on Saturday evening. On the scene, a man opens up and one from the patrol receives a blow to the face.
The patrol later enters the apartment as there is suspicion that there is ongoing violence against a person in the dwelling and the patrol is met by the man who is carrying a stabbing weapon.
The patrol uses a Taser, which however does not have any effect and they feel forced to fire real bullets at the man. A commotion arises but the man who has not been hit by any shot can be apprehended.
The man in his 30s is now suspected of assaulting a public official, grossly threatening a public official, attempted murder, and grossly unlawful threats and is currently being held in custody.
According to routine, after the police have fired real bullets, the special prosecutor's office initiates an investigation.
