Over the past few days, a number of reports of telephone scams in the Örnsköldsvik region have been filed with the police. At least two have been completed scams where the victims were deceived out of money.

The modus operandi is that you are called and the person calling claims to work at the police and that the matter concerns something that requires you to log in with BankId. All of this, of course, is a bluff!

The police's appeal:
End the call as soon as possible by hanging up the phone!
Never log in with BankId on someone else's instructions.
