The police have handled a 50-number of events in Södermanland County between 22:00 and 07:00. No serious violent crimes or serious incidents have come to the police's knowledge.
The traffic situation during the night has been good, no traffic accidents have occurred that have become a police concern, and only one reported wildlife accident (wild boar) without personal injury.
00:00 Violent resistance - Nyköping
The police are checking people who are very drunk or affected in Nyköping's city center. The man in the company, who is in his 30s, becomes aggressive when he is to be taken into custody and is suspected of violent resistance and assault on a public official. A woman in her 45s is taken into custody in accordance with the LOB.
00:14 Assault - Eskilstuna
The police are called to a residence in a small community outside Eskilstuna. On the scene, a man in his 60s is arrested and suspected of assault on his wife. The woman does not need to visit a healthcare facility. The man is also suspected of minor firearm offenses as he possessed a can of pepper spray.
01:43 Theft - Strängnäs
The police receive a call about a car with two people suspected of being involved in a theft of tires earlier in the night driving around in Strängnäs. The case is resourced and a patrol can locate the vehicle and arrest two men in their 20s. The stolen tires are on the scene, and the men are suspected of theft.
04:15 Theft of a vehicle - Tumbo
The police are contacted by a man who appears confused and claims to have been injured in a traffic accident. The police go to the scene and find a crashed car, but the man has left the scene. After a short search, the man is found, who is not seriously injured. He is however initially suspected of minor narcotics offenses for personal use and theft of a vehicle as the car he crashed was not his.
