A police patrol made an attempt to stop a vehicle on LV682 north of Edsbyn in Ovanåkers municipality on Friday evening. The driver, however, chose not to stop and the police initiated a pursuit.

The journey continued for a few minutes before the car drove onto a gravel road where it was eventually stopped. In connection with the intervention, the driver resisted and was restrained with handcuffs.

One person is suspected of aggravated unauthorized driving, gross negligence in traffic, and gross driving under the influence of narcotics. No person is reported to have been injured in connection with the incident.
