March 10, 07.02, Summary of the night, Norrbotten County

Under Sunday and the night into Monday, the police's command center has been contacted regarding a number of frauds/fraud attempts in Norrbotten.

The first three cases concern three individuals in Luleå who have received phone calls from a person/persons claiming to be from an insurance company or bank/credit company. The police suspect that the caller has tried to deceive the victims in various ways to get money. Reports have been filed regarding attempts at fraud.

Under the night, the police was also contacted by a person in Gällivare municipality who claims to have been swindled out of a sum of money in a real estate fraud via social media.
