Police and ambulance are called to a traffic accident where a woman was hit by a bus.

The woman has been taken to hospital by ambulance and the extent of her injuries is unclear.

According to eyewitness accounts on the scene, the woman is said to have run out into the traffic to catch a bus on the other side of the road.

Police are working on the scene to investigate the course of events. A report of reckless endangerment has been filed.
