Police are called to Vega in Haninge with reports of a person being injured in an apartment.
When the police patrols were on their way to the scene, information came in that a man had been stabbed and that two suspected perpetrators had left the apartment.
A preliminary investigation into attempted murder has been initiated and the injured man was cared for by medical personnel and was taken to the hospital by ambulance. The injuries are not considered life-threatening.
The apartment is cordoned off and a technical examination will be conducted by the police's forensic technicians.
In connection with the police operation that followed, one of the suspected perpetrators was found in the vicinity outdoors. When this person was to be apprehended, a situation arose that made one of the police officers fire a warning shot with their service weapon, and the man could be apprehended.
The incident surrounding the apprehension will be investigated by the Department for Special Investigations (SU), which is routine when the police use their service weapon.
