A witness contacted the police after seeing the man hit the woman outdoors. Several police patrols drove to the scene and found the two involved parties.

The investigative measures on the scene led to the man being arrested as a suspect for robbery. The man had taken the woman's bag, which among other things contained a small amount of cash, in connection with the assault.

The woman was lightly injured and had no need for acute medical care.

After the interrogation, the prosecutor decided to detain the man.
