Police and rescue services were alerted to an address in central Lidköping regarding a fire or explosion in a stairwell.

Something has exploded and/or burned in connection with a flat door.

The fire has been extinguished and no one is injured. There were people in the affected flat who are now being evacuated.

The national bomb squad of the police is involved in the matter.

A crime scene investigation is lacking at present since it is unclear whether it is a fire or explosion.

Update at 03:20:

An investigation has been launched into arson.

The initial assessment is that flammable liquid caused the fire and explosion.
