Summary of the police's work during spontaneous cruising in Hammarstrand
The police who worked on Saturday report that it was a good atmosphere during the evening, with a large number of visitors to the spontaneous cruising. The Swedish summer with accompanying rain has likely had a significant impact on the number of participants and spectators and on the crime prevention work.
The police have had good cooperation with, among others, Ragunda municipality, social services, and night watchmen. Considering that there are no known incidents of violence in public places, the operation is considered successful.
During the evening, the police have handled two cases of sexual harassment and one case of narcotics abuse. In total, five people have been taken into custody under the law on the detention of intoxicated persons (LOB), several people have been turned away, and the police have been able to prevent fights. In addition, two pub inspections have been carried out together with the municipality's handlers.
Otherwise, the police have worked on road safety and 11 fines have been issued and six flying inspections have been carried out.
