Police were called to a brawl outside in central Ljungby. In connection with the police being on the scene and investigating the brawl, information emerged that a rape had occurred indoors in the vicinity earlier that night. Two men in their mid-twenties were apprehended and they are suspected of raping two women in an apartment.

The current apartment was cordoned off pending a forensic examination. The police have held interrogations and conducted various investigative measures overnight.

Both men have been detained by the prosecutor who is now leading the investigation. The men are still suspected of rape.
