Police stop and inspect a van on the E4 just south of Umeå, in the vicinity of Röbäcksdalen. In the van, a larger quantity of copper wire is found and the driver, a man in his 40s, cannot provide a reasonable explanation for why he has it. Suspicion of copper theft arises and the man is apprehended.

An interrogation is held with the man and the prosecutor is contacted to decide whether the man should be detained or not. The prosecutor decides to lift the arrest and the man is now released.

The copper wire and suspected crime tools are seized. A report regarding theft or embezzlement is to be drawn up.
