Police go to a pub in central Skellefteå because a man is arguing. The man, who is in his 50s, is found and taken into custody with the support of the law on the taking into custody of intoxicated persons (LOB). A report is to be made regarding assault.

Police check a passenger car in central Umeå. Two fines are issued: One because high music was played and one because there were too many passengers in the vehicle.

Police have also performed several checks of people and vehicles that did not result in any suspicion of a crime.

Summary of the police's work during Skellefteå Summertime

Seven people were taken into custody in total according to the law on taking into custody of intoxicated persons (LOB). At several of these takeovers, contact was also made with guardians. Alcohol was confiscated both inside and outside the festival area.

On Friday, a fine was issued for public urination in the area around the festival and a report was taken regarding violence against an official, which occurred in connection with a take-over. A report was also made regarding assault, with an unknown perpetrator.

Police have performed several speed and sobriety checks in connection with the festival, which resulted in a total of 13 speeding offenses. All checked drivers were sober.

Orderlies who worked at the festival reported that they had 27 removals, 36 rejections, 3 takeovers according to the law on taking into custody of intoxicated persons (LOB) as well as 8 handed over to social services. They also had one arrest regarding trespassing into the paid area.

Summarily, it has been a relatively calm evening regarding festival-related matters. The evening attracted younger age groups and this was reflected in the cases that police and orderlies handled. There were many underage intoxicated people at the festival area. For this reason, the police would like to urge guardians to talk to their children about their attitude towards alcohol.
