BODEN

Under the morning a traffic control was held at Travbaneleden, Bodsvedjan. Four drivers were fined due to speeding offenses.

Därefter were held further traffic controls in Boden. At 10 o'clock a driver was stopped for control, but when the police approached the car, the driver drove away. A pursuit was initiated, but was interrupted shortly thereafter. The car was found standing still a few minutes later. No person was then in the vehicle. A suspected man was arrested shortly thereafter in the surrounding area. Initially, the suspicions are gross speeding, gross unauthorized driving, gross negligence in traffic, theft of means of transportation and blue light sabotage (when the car drove into a police car). Blood sampling is to be performed and an interrogation is to be held. Thereafter, the prosecutor will make a decision on whether the man should be detained or not.

During the morning a sobriety control was held in traffic on Highway 97. All checked drivers were sober, without any comments.
