On national road 66 between Virsbo and Surahammar, a single-vehicle accident occurs with a passenger car.

The driver, a man in his 30s, is not injured in connection with the accident. However, the man is suspected of having driven the vehicle under the influence of narcotics and leaves the scene running after the accident.

Police begin a search operation for the man, including with drones and a dog patrol, and he is later found on a gravel road.

In connection with the man being found, a bag containing narcotics is also discovered. A report of a narcotics offense, possession, is therefore filed with the man as suspected.
